When most people make a smartphone upgrade, they are tempted to use the device and its operating system for all sorts of activities until they eventual get bored of downloading and testing all sorts of apps and games. Once you’ve had your way with your Android Phone, you may turn out to see some difficulties in running tasks at an optimized performance.

  • First of all, uninstall useless applications. You can do that by accessing Settings – Applications – Manage Applications – Uninstall.
  • Reduce or completely remove some of the widget that you don’t normally use. Widgets provide quick information on applications running in the background on the main screen. The most common widgets used on Android phones are weather, clock, calendar, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter.
  • Give up the live wallpapers that reduce battery life and slow the system .
  • Install the Advanced Task Killer app – a very useful application that actually does its job and is easy to setup.
  • Do not let applications such as GPS, Bluetooth, Mobile Data WiFi run in the background when not in use.
  • To turn off mobile data traffic in 3G network enter Settings and uncheck Mobile – data usage time.
  • Keep your applications updated.
  • Enter Settings – Developer options and uncheck the transition animation (animation off).

If you are not satisfied with the preinstalled browser, you can try the other ones available in Google Play – Opera Mobile, Firefox , Opera Mini or Google Chrome (the most efficient one of all).

When your mobile phone browser is no longer running as smooth as it should be, go to Settings – Apps – look for the browser that you are using and select clear cache.

As a last resort, if the phone refuses to listen to you, you can give a general reset. However, remember that after this reset, you will lose all personal files, games, applications, pictures, music, movies, but you will not lose any file in the system. When you reset your Android phone, you make it return to the original factory settings.
